Medical Cannabis Patients
First Thing's First - Visit a physician, nurse practitioner, or optometrist participating in the medical cannabis program!

Step One: Patient has medical complaint.
Schedules visit with physician, nurse practitioner, or optometrist participating in the medical cannabis program.

Step Two: Patient sees physician, nurse practitioner, or optometrist in person.
A determination is made that the patient has a qualifying condition that would benefit from the use of medical cannabis.Practitioner completes medical certification for the medical cannabis program for the patient. Certification is not a prescription.

Step Three: Patient submits application to participate in the medical cannabis program.
Within 60 days of medical certification, Patient completes application to participate in the program and receive an identification card.

Step Four: Receipt of Patient Identification Card
Patient receives electronic identification card for time period specified by certifying practitioner or a maximum of one year.

Step Five: Patient selects licensed dispensary to purchase medical cannabis.
